State law summary

Colorado uses the standard three-class system. Class 1 and 2 e-bikes may ride wherever regular bikes are allowed, including bike and pedestrian paths unless a local rule says otherwise. Class 3 is generally for roads and adjacent paths, with a helmet required for riders under 18.
